I am desperate to get off email list for welcome to Oz and welcome to Oz2 but I can't unsubscribe
How do I get OFF the email list for welcometoOz@yahoogroups.com?
The next time you get a message from either of those groups, open them and look down at the very bottom of page. There will be a link that says "Unsubscribe". Click on that. A new message will come up in your email program and will be from you to the group. You don't have to type anything in it. Just click Send. You will then be unsubscribed from the email lists and groups. Do this for both groups.
If you are a member of those groups and want to remain as a member but not receive messages, sign in to the group, click Edit Membership near top of page. Scroll down to Email delivery. Select No Mail or Web Only. Save Changes. Do this for both groups.
Reply:Send a blank email to the automated system from your subscribed address to:
WelcomeToOz-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.co...
Hope that helps!
Reply:after you sign it, you can edit all your groups from here

Spam Email From YahooGroups Mailing List?
Hi all...
I get upset when I receiving more than 30 YahooGroups Mailinglist which I'm not a member of those.
Just only for 10 minutes, my inbox full with Spam Email.
When I try to unsubscribe, they told me that I'm not a member of its mailinglist.
I'm also chat with Yahoo! 2 times, but they have no spesific idea how to stop this spam.
So,... what should I do to stop this?
Spam Email From YahooGroups Mailing List?
The first mistake was trying to unsubscribe. By doing that you let them know your address is being used. The only solution I have found is to have a seperate e-mail address which I only give to trusted contacts. I change this every so often. It stops the spam for a while at least. I If you allow e-mail on Yahoo answers anyone can get your address. Good luck and hope this helps.

How to change my delivery email address in the menber of yahoogroups ?
If the address is already associated with your profile, just go to the group website and click on edit membership. You can select a different email address from there.
To add a new email address, first go to http://groups.yahoo.com/myprefs and add email address. Verify the email address. Once it is a verified address, you can edit your membership as stated above to change your email address.

1/25/2007- Yahoogroups email deliver delay?
Hey folks. Our yahoogroup emails taking 5 hours or more to be delivered. Is there a current Yahoo issue and where can I find details?
1/25/2007- Yahoogroups email deliver delay?
Yahoo! Groups Mail Delivery Issues, January 25
Due to a database-related issue earlier today, we are experiencing a Groups email backlog. Delivery of messages posted between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. (Pacific time) today, January 25, may be delayed several hours.
Messages posted now are being processed through our backup mail servers, so they will be delivered immediately. While our primary servers catch up, Groups users may see messages that were posted earlier today delivered out of order.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you and your group members.

Why are the messages sent by my email not delivered to my yahoogroups?
I belong to only 4 groups, 2 of which I use regularly. I use the same email account for all of my YahooGroups. I do use to forward messages to the groups and to an email listing of friends.
Why are the messages sent by my email not delivered to my yahoogroups?
The moderator from the group can determine who can send emails and who can't. Are you sure you have permission? Also each member can determine if they will accept emails and from who if anyone.
Good luck,

Why won't yahoogroups recognize a valid email address?
I am trying to add someone to a yahoogroups list. Yahoogroups telling me the eamil address is not valid, even though I know it's a valid address because I have corresponded with the person. Can anyone help?
Why won't yahoogroups recognize a valid email address?
Yahoo restricts certain email addresses like info, webmaster, and admin. The address you are trying to add is probably something that is not allowed. Does the person have an alternate email address that you can use instead?
Reply:if Yahoo says it's not valid, it means they do not recognoze it nor will allow it. certain addresses are not allowed per yahoo filter bots

I have not received a single Yahoogroups email for 12 hours. Is it me or widespread?
Could be because no one has posted anything new in that time. Also there may be an update or a scheduled maintenance going on which would hold up postings and/or alerts.

What is the difference between having an email account with yahoo vs. yahoogroups?
I have noticed that I have received a few emails from people whose email address is @yahoogroup.com as opposed to the usual @yahoo.com. I would like to know what is the difference between the two.
What is the difference between having an email account with yahoo vs. yahoogroups?
Yahoo groups are formed by people with a like interest. I belong to a couple, one for my family members to share photos easily and post 1 message which can be read by many and another with graduates from my high school. If you choose to have a weekly update of postings, it comes from whatever@yahoogroups.com If you get mail from somebody@yahoo.com, this is an individual's private email address.

some times when mail servers upgrade / update, conflicts arise. it's hard to say if it's your mail server or Yahoo but many within yahoo have been experiencing this. a way to trouble shoot if it's your mail server is to add a web based mail to your account, have group mail go there. if the group mail comes to it, it's a conflict of your server with yahoo or yahoo conflict with your server

join the group. Most groups don't allow nonmembers to view messages.
Reply:it is correct, very few groups let non members post to reduce spam. if you e-mail to the group and it bounces back, you need to join

How can yahoogroups member with non/other than yahoo email domain access the yahoogroups home?
I've created polls for my group,, but some member were unable to cast their votes because they had problems to access yahoo groups from their non yahoo domain. What should i do to fix this?
How can yahoogroups member with non/other than yahoo email domain access the yahoogroups home?
easy to create a yahoo account....they all can do it...
Reply:members need to have a Yahoo account to access the groups features like polls- those members without one will have across from their e-mail address within the members list (request profile)- if you click that, it'll send info on how to create an account and link it to their membership

How do I add a YahooGroups email address to another Group?
I have a large group that is divided into subgroups. I made a group for each subgroup. Now I want the ability to email everyone at one time. So I want a group made up of all my subgroups and I'm getting an error. Yahoo is not reconizing it's own email addresses!!!
How do I add a YahooGroups email address to another Group?
One Yahoo! Group will not recognize the email address of another Yahoo! group.
- - "So I want a group made up of all my subgroups and I'm getting an error. Yahoo is not reconizing it's own email addresses!!! - -
I don't think you can add the Yahoo! group address to your Yahoo! ID profile (your are limited to only 5 address in a profile anyway).
Sounds like you made it too complicated.
I am a member of 40 + groups and own/moderate a few.
If I want to send an email address to any or all of the groups I belong to, I just add that group email address to my message.
Sounds like you could create a distribution list within your email ISP to hit one list and send a message to all your subgroups all at once.
Okay, check your sub-groups to insure you have access to them.
You can do this easily by going to the following link:
Go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/
- Login with the email address you used to join the group(s).
- At the bottom of the links - click on "View All"
- The "View Groups" tab will come up (default)
If you want to make and changes:
- Click on the "Edit My Groups" tab.
- From there you can change your Message Delivery or Leave [the] Group .
- Don't forget to hit the blue Save Changes button if you make any changes.
Now you have verified that you have access to all your subgroups. You are all set to email from from your regular email.
I hope this helps in some way.
